നാരങ്ങ ഗ്ലാസ്സിലേക്ക്‌ പിഴിഞ്ഞു തൊണ്ട് അതില്‍ തന്നെ ഇടുക. കസ് കസ്, മല്ലിചെപ്പ്, പുദിനയില, മുളക് അരച്ച മിശ്രിതം, സര്‍ബത്ത് , ഐസ് എന്നിവ ഒരു ഗ്ലാസ്സിലേക്ക്‌ ഇടുക. വെള്ളം ഒഴിച്ചതിനു ശേഷം. വേറൊരു ഗ്ലാസ്‌ കൊണ്ട് ഈ ഗ്ലാസ്‌ മൂടി നന്നായി കുലുക്കുക. കുലുക്കി സര്‍ബത്ത് റെഡി. ഇനി കുടിച്ചോളൂ.

Ingredients:

Black Grapes - 1/2 kg
Sugar - 1 cup ( adjust depending on taste)
Water - 3 cups

 Method:


  1. Wash grapes and boil with 2 cups of water until grapes start floating on top.
  2. Remove off heat and let it cool.
  3. Separate the skin of grapes from the pulp and seeds. The skin will float on top, the pulp in middle and the seeds will be at the bottom of the vessel. You might however have to lightly squeeze the pulp to separate the pulp which are still holding onto their skin.
  4. Blend the separated grape-skin along with sugar.
  5. Pass this through a fine colander adding a cup of water.
  6. Add this extracted juice to the grape pulp.
  7. Serve chilled.

10 Curry leaves
Half green Chilly
¼ teaspon Sea salt
1 Cup water

Directions

Chop the gooseberries and discard the seeds
Add all ingredients except water in a blender and blend it for 1-2 minutes.

Take a blender and put all ingredients except ice. Blend them into a smooth puree.
Now, take a glass and put some crushed ice. After that pour blended papaya mixture over crushed ice and chilled papaya drink is ready.

Buttermilk/Sambaram is a traditional drink of kerala, its a very good solution for midday's thirst, and very simple to make. Buttermilk is known for its hydrating and refreshing properties. In Kerala, traditional Nair families used to give mildly spiced buttermilk or Sambharam to their guests. Even Christian families are known to have pacha moru (spiced salted buttermilk) or kachiya moru (buttermilk tempered with chillies and curry leaves) with their lunch. Buttermilk is known as Majjige in Telugu, Majjige Huli in Kannada, simply Mor in Tamil and Sambharam in Malayalam.

Ingredients:

Thick curd - 1/4 glass
Green chilies (medium size finely chopped) - 1 no 
Ginger - 1/4 tbsp (grated)
Curry leaves - 1 stem
Cold water - 3/4 glass
Salt - to taste (normally 2 pinches) 

Method:

1). Beat the curd for 2 mints with a spoon. 
2). Add all the ingredients to it except water and stir well. 
3). Add the cold water and stir well.

Ingredients

• Ginger,crushed 1 inch piece
• Black peppercorns 8
• Tea leaves 3-4 teaspoons
• Fennel seeds (saunf) 1/2 teaspoon
• Fresh mint leaves 6-8
• Milk 1 cup
• Sugar 4-5 teaspoons

Method

Heat three cups of water in a pan. Take peppercorns and fennel seeds in a mortar and pound with a pestle. Add this to the water. Crush the ginger and add. Add fresh mint leaves and let the water come to a boil. Add tea leaves and continue to boil. Add milk and let the mixture boil once more. Add sugar and simmer the mixture for two to three minutes. Strain and serve piping hot.

A sweet mango yogurt drink.
Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 5 mins
Servings : 4

INGREDIENTS

Mango : 1
Yogurt : 1 cup
Sugar : 1 tablespoon
Green cardamom powder : a pinch
Saffron (kesar) : 2-3 strands

METHOD

Wash, peel, remove seed from mango and make a puree of its flesh in a mixer. Transfer into a bowl.In the same mixer blend yogurt, sugar and ice cubes for a minute. Add mango puree and blend for half a minute on minimum speed. Garnish with saffron strands and serve chilled.

Mango Milkshake





Ingredients

  • Mango - 1 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 3 tsp
  • Elachi powder - 1/4 tsp (optional)
  • Ice crushed - 2 small cubes



Method

  1. Peel of the skin of mangoes and chop the mangoes roughly. 
  2. Add 1/2 cup milk with mango cubes, sugar and crushed ice and blend it in a mixer until smooth for 10 seconds then add remaining milk and blend again until smooth. 
  3. Add elachi powder, mix well. Your mango milkshake is ready in minutes. 




Notes
  •  if you want it to be little runny then add 1/2 cup of milk more
  • Adding elachi powder gives a good flavour , but its purely optional.
  • Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of the mango variety.

(Serves 4) 

Ingredients: 

3 cups plain yogurt
1 cup cold water.
1 fresh green chili, seeded and very finely chopped
1 tsp ground cumin
salt and pepper to taste
Fresh cilantro(coriander)or mint leaves to decorate
Crushed ice to serve

Method:

Pour the yogurt and water into blender for 1 min.


Add in the chili, cumin, season to taste with salt and pepper and bled together
Serve over crushed ice


Garnish with a sprinkle of cumin powder and finely chopped cilantro (coriander)or mint.

(The Traditional Lassi is a salty yogurt drink which is a thicker consistency than that of buttermilk. It can be spiced with various spices and ingredients, but it almost always includes ground cumin powder. Here are two types of Savory Lassi- one the classic plain lassi and the second with a Mint twist. It's extremely easy and quick to make not to mention very refreshing and cooling to beat the heat of Summer.)
